Terms of service

The agreement

These terms are the agreement between you and Waoo Network ("we", "us") for using Money by Waoo, on the web and in the app for Android. Using it means accepting them. If you do not, do not use it - and if you already have, unlink your banks and delete your account, and the agreement ends.

The version of these terms in force on any day is the one this page shows for that day. Earlier versions stay readable below, so you can always see what applied when.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your sign-in, so keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has it. The app lock on Android adds a check on the phone; it does not replace a good password.

One account is for one person. Link only accounts you own or are allowed to view, and do not resell access.

Your data is yours

Everything you link or enter - accounts, transactions, budgets, goals, statements and receipts - stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to store it, organize it and show it back to you. That permission ends when you delete it.

Linking a bank

Banks are linked through Plaid. By linking one you also agree to Plaid's terms for that connection, and you let Plaid fetch your account details for us until you unlink it. A bank can change or end its connection at any time, and some banks or account types cannot be linked at all.

What this is not

Money by Waoo is a tool for seeing and planning your own money. It is not a bank, it does not hold or move your money, and nothing in it is financial, tax, investment or legal advice.

Balances and transactions come from your bank through Plaid and can be late, incomplete or wrong. Categories, recurring payments, budget figures and payoff plans are worked out automatically from that data and can be wrong too. Check your bank before relying on a figure - to pay a bill, to avoid an overdraft, or to make a decision.

Price

Money by Waoo is free to use today, and creating an account never asks for a payment method. If paid plans are ever introduced, they will be announced on this page before anything is charged, and nothing will be charged without your agreeing to it first.

Availability

We aim to keep the service up and will not always succeed. There is no uptime guarantee, and features may change as the product develops. Anything that would remove your access to the history you have built up will be announced first.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you have paid us in the previous twelve months. We are not liable for indirect losses - a late fee, an overdraft, a missed payment or an investment decision made on a figure shown here.

Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer where you live.

Changes to these terms

These terms can change. A new version is posted on this page with the date it takes effect before that date arrives, and earlier versions stay readable.
